BARDONECCHIA (TO)

Bardonecchia is located at 1312 meters above sea level, in a vast basin where four valleys converge in a fan shape: the valleys of Rochemolles, Frejus, Rho and Melezet with the Valle Stretta. The Bardonecchia basin opens in the center of a large amphitheater of fairly high peaks, from the four valleys descend the homonymous torrents.

The ancient inhabited centre of Bardonecchia is made up of the so-called Borgovecchio.

In some streets of Borgovecchio, on the walls of the houses with favorable exposure, there are still some sundials, or solar clocks.

The historic center of Bardonecchia is connected to the so-called Borgonuovo by the central Via Medail, it is the tourist heart of Bardonecchia: shops, stores, arcades, ice cream parlors, pastry shops, restaurants and bars open onto the sides of the road, with limited traffic, crowded with tourists in the high season.

THE SKI AREA

Bardonecchia can count on 120 km of downhill slopes located between 1,312 and 2,800 m, divided into four areas: Campo Smith (just 300 m from the Village and connected by a shuttle service), Les Arnauds, Melezet and Jafferau.

The Snow Park with its Olympic Half Pipe is a true paradise for snowboard lovers.

Efficient and extensive snowmaking ensures that the snow is in perfect condition throughout the season .

Cross-country skiing enthusiasts can choose between 3 rings for approximately 30 km of trails.
